Basic Training includes;
Training at 3 weddings in the South Wales region.
Wedding One -
You will observe the flow and running of the wedding. You will assist the lead and second shooter throughout the day.
Wedding Two -
You will photograph the wedding as the third team member, learning the importance of moments and building your skills for attention to detail.
Wedding Three-
You will repeat wedding two and assist with group photographs.
Wedding Four-
You will photograph the wedding as the second shooter. You will be directly assisting the lead shooter by capturing the entire wedding ceremony, photographing important moments. You will direct groups for photos and ensure all guests are looking at the lead shooter. You will be given the opportunity to create poses for the couples romantic photographs.
After selected training days, you will be asked to complete a test before being able to complete the course. Your images will be reviewed after each wedding and meeting will take place to go over your progress. You will be given a printed portfolio of your work to show future clients. You will not be able to keep any digital images to use for online advertisements. You will receive a certificate of achievement upon completion of the course.
We may also be available to assist you on your own weddings for extra support as second shooters while you build your portfolio.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
You will NOT be taught the use of a camera. Trainees will enter the course based on their current knowledge of a working camera.
You will NOT be given equipment. Trainees are expected to bring and use their own equipment.
You MUST be able to make your own way to wedding locations or to base location to travel as a team.
